ABOUT CLASSIC CALIFORNIA ART

Classic California Art is an exclusive online gallery dedicated to showcasing original artworks from the 1800s and 1900s. Each piece comes from the esteemed collection of Edan Milton Hughes, a renowned expert in Early California Art. For over fifty years, Hughes meticulously curated and collected significant works, leading to the publication of his acclaimed reference book, 'Artists in California, 1786-1940.' After his passing in 2015, many of these masterpieces found a new home at the Crocker Art Museum, and acquired by David Espinosa, where his legacy continues to inspire art lovers.
